Maja Lehnus has over 40 years of intelligence experience, including three decades of leadership at the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI). At the CIA, Ms. Lehnus served as the Associate Director for Talent, Deputy Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer. As Director of the National Counterproliferation Center (NCPC), she integrated the capabilities of eleven intelligence agencies and wielded significant influence over the IC’s budget. She also served as CIA’s Director of the Weapons Intelligence, Nonproliferation, and Arms Control Center (WINPAC).
She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Ocean Infinity America, Inc.; the Board of Managers of the National Technology & Engineering Solutions of Sandia, LLC; and the Global Security External Review Committee for Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory while also serving on the Editorial Board for Studies in Intelligence; the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association Intelligence Committee; and the Charlottesville Committee on Foreign Relations. She previously served on the Board of Visitors for the National Intelligence University.
Ms. Lehnus has received the Distinguished Career Intelligence Medal, the National Intelligence Distinguished Service Medal, a Meritorious Presidential Rank Award, and the Langer Award. She earned her B.S. in electrical engineering from Virginia Tech and her M.S. in electrical engineering from Johns Hopkins University.
