Gina M. Bennett is a retired Senior Analytic Service member of the CIA. Her 34-year career in counterterrorism has been featured in major media outlets, including Netflix, Showtime, HBO, PBS, 60 Minutes, Newsweek, CNN, The Atlantic, and The New York Times. She has been widely recognized for producing the earliest warnings of the emerging al-Qaeda threat, many years before 9/11. Bennett’s analysis shaped early counterterrorism strategy and supported the global manhunt for Osama bin Laden. Gina is the Director of All Secure, a project launched by Girl Security to help institutions navigate increasingly complex challenges posed by artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies. Combining structured analytic tradecraft, participatory intelligence, and human-centered design, All Secure’s Design Lab develops new approaches to high-risk decision-making under conditions of uncertainty. As an adjunct professor at Georgetown University, Gina teaches Ethics in Intelligence and National Security and Hunter-Gatherer National Security at the School of Foreign Service. She is the author of two “National Security Mom” books and several articles on counterterrorism. She earned her Bachelors degree at the University of Virginia in Economics and Foreign Affairs and her Masters as a distinguished graduate of the Marine Corps War College.
