Alex is a partner in the American Dynamism practice at Andreessen Horowitz. Alex is also an Army Strategic Intelligence Officer assigned to the Military Intelligence Readiness Command. He was formerly an AI and Autonomous Systems Program Manager at the Defense Innovation Unit, part of the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering, in Mountain View, California. Alex began his career in Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction policy and programs at the Pentagon. From 2010 to 2013, Alex served as an Infantry officer at the tactical level, leading maneuver forces directly, and in staff positions in combat. In 2013, Alex transitioned to Military Intelligence serving in positions within the military, special operations, and Intelligence Community. Alex has deployed to Afghanistan, Iraq, and throughout West Africa.
