Speaker Series: Indo-Pacific Security Dynamics in the Age of Trump, Xi, and Abe

Please join the NSPC and the East Asia Center for a discussion with Professors Satrou Mori (Hosei University) and Shino Watanabe (Sophia University). Professor Mori will first assess Trump’s Asia policy, the outlook for U.S. engagement in the Indo-Pacific region, and the implications for Japan’s foreign policy. Professor Watanabe will explain Xi’s Asia policy (including One-Belt-One-Road), examine implications of China’s rise in the region and discuss Japan’s recent policy towards China.
