Career Simulation: Noncombatant Evacuation Operation in Haiti

Sep 19, 2025 / 12:00pm - 2:00pm

This tabletop exercise, titled “Noncombatant Evacuation Operation in Haiti,” is led by the National Security Policy Center (NSPC) and open to students of all years and majors.  Working in teams as analysts from the intelligence agencies, students will take part in a scenario that will require them to evaluate information, create intelligence, and evaluate potential geopolitical impacts. This simulation is an excellent opportunity to learn about the intelligence process, the agencies’ collection specialties, and how collaboration works across the Intelligence Community.

The NSPC encourages all students with an interest in national security to participate, regardless of major. Many intelligence agencies look to recruit 1st and 2nd years for internships and 3rd and 4th years for full-time opportunities, making NSPC events an excellent chance for students at all levels to make important career connections.

This session is part of UVA’s Intelligence and Security Careers Week, which is co-hosted by the Public Service and Government Career Community in the UVA Career Center, Batten Career Services in the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy, and the National Security Policy Center.
