About Mike Matthews
Mike Matthews attributes much of the joy and success he’s had in life to his decision to attend the University of Virginia. The 1999 graduate was a varsity Cross Country and Track athlete (where he met his wife on the team; leading to their 4 daughters), an America Government major (which propelled his career of 23 years as a defense contractor in support of the Intelligence Community) and a member of Phi Kappa Psi (where he built a network of lifelong friends that are still a part of his daily life).
This session is part of UVA’s Intelligence and Security Careers Week, which is co-hosted by the Public Service and Government Career Community in the UVA Career Center, Batten Career Services in the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy, and the National Security Policy Center.
